About Friends of Disabled Veterans
Friends of Disabled Veterans supports all veterans by offering a place where they can enjoy indoor activities and outdoor adventures with their family and friends. This is an environment of support, appreciation and respect. The goal is to help veterans feel completely accepted and included in a fun, relaxing environment. Friends of Disabled Veterans have acquired significant acreage to allow us to fulfill our dream of building The Ranch, a place for veterans and their families to enjoy the outdoors and rebuild relationships with the ones they love. The Ranch is being built in stages and is currently available for archery and outdoor gatherings. Once complete, veterans will also have access to a stunning lodge, memorial garden, a traditional archery range, and a children’s playground. Activities will include hunting, horseback riding, indoor/outdoor gatherings, gardening, and archery. All facilities and activities will be designed specifically for ADA compliance. The Ranch also includes plans to provide support services such as counseling, budget planning, and horse therapy. All programs and services will be offered at no cost to the veteran or their family.
