AWB Endorses I-645, Supreme Court Candidates
WB weighs in ahead of Washington’s November 3 election.
Washington voters will consider Initiative 645 and three Washington Supreme Court races in the November 3 general election.
The Association of Washington Business has announced its endorsement of I-645 and the following judicial candidates:
- Scott Edwards, Supreme Court Justice, Position 1
- Sean O’Donnell, Supreme Court Justice, Position 4
- Dave Larson, Supreme Court Justice, Position 5
According to AWB, I-645 would repeal the law establishing a tax on individual income above $1 million and prohibit future state or local taxes on individual income. AWB says the tax could increase costs for some small and midsize businesses, including S corporations and other pass-through entities, leaving less available for expansion, equipment, payroll, and employee benefits.
These are AWB’s endorsements. Members are encouraged to read the full announcement and review official ballot materials from the Washington Secretary of State before voting.
