Your Ballot Is Your Voice
Turn registration into participation
Every election shapes the future of our businesses, neighborhoods and communities. Yet preliminary results as of Aug. 7 showed that only about 28% of Yakima County’s registered voters participated in the primary, the lowest turnout among the six counties CWHBA serves.
While the primary is behind us and we cannot change its turnout or how the results unfolded, we can help change what happens next.
November is still ahead. As leaders in the homebuilding industry, CWHBA members have an opportunity to encourage and empower others to participate. Leadership extends beyond our businesses and job sites. It includes helping our families, friends and neighbors understand that their voices matter.
Let’s make November different. Check your registration, make a plan to vote and encourage others to do the same. Online and mail registrations must be received by Oct. 26, with in-person registration available through 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3.
What is done is done, but the next chapter is ours to shape. Register, return your ballot and help Central Washington make its voice heard.
