The CWHBA Board of Directors brings together builders, suppliers, subcontractors, and industry professionals who care about the future of homebuilding in Central Washington. As a board director, you’ll help guide the Association’s direction, strengthen member engagement, support advocacy efforts, and make sure the voices of our industry are heard.
Board leadership is a meaningful way to build relationships, share fresh ideas, represent your region, and leave the profession stronger than you found it. Previous board experience is helpful, but not required. What matters most is that you care about the industry, enjoy working with others, follow through on commitments, and want to grow as a leader.
Board service averages about 3–5 hours per month and includes nine annual board meetings, one monthly committee meeting, and participation in member events or activities.
Board members help set strategic priorities, guide programs and budgets, support advocacy, champion member engagement, and represent CWHBA in the community. The board includes 16 directors: 10 Builder Members and 6 Associate Members. Terms are three years.
Members can also choose a committee that fits their interests, including Government Affairs, Membership, Events & Education, Finance, or Executive & Governance. Board service may also open the door to future leadership opportunities with BIAW, NAHB, officer leadership, and statewide or national advocacy.
