Wildfire Resistant Construction and Landscaping

Description

This course will discuss concepts such as defensible and survivable space, structural hardening, vegetation selection, placement, and maintenance, as well as code and planning considerations and structural components and materials. It will provide insight and education on how to conduct structure assessments and properly identify ignition vulnerabilities to help protect structures and communities from the real threat of wildfire. It will also discuss how to motivate and inspire homeowners and businesses to take action on their own properties.
