CWWB: Build Day with Habitat for Humanity

Description

Central Washington Women in Building is partnering with Kittitas County Habitat for Humanity for a special Women Build Day at the Stuart Meadows development in Ellensburg. Together, we’ll help construct affordable homes for local families and make a lasting impact in our community.

This is a hands-on volunteer event open to women in our industry who want to give back, connect, and contribute to a meaningful cause. No prior construction experience is necessary—just come ready to learn and lend a hand.

We kindly ask for a $15 at registration for a CWWB+Habitat T shirt. CWHBA will follow up with you on T-Shirt size and next steps. 

Stuart Meadows Build Event Details 

📍 Location:
113 W Bender Rd, Ellensburg, WA

📆 Construction Timeline:

• Project spans 2023–2026
• 18 affordable homes in total
• Built in 3 phases: 6 homes/year

🛠️ Volunteer Guidelines:

• Ages 16+ with adult guardian (under 18)
• No volunteers under 16
• Site capacity: 10 volunteers per day

📅 Daily Schedule:

• 8:00 AM: Check-in & Safety Meeting
• 8:15 AM – 12:00 PM: Morning Work
• 12:00 – 12:30 PM: Lunch
• 12:30 – 3:00 PM: Afternoon Work
• 3:00 – 3:30 PM: Clean-Up

🧰 What to Bring:

• Water bottle, lunch/snacks
• Sunscreen, gloves, lawn chair
• Wear: closed-toe shoes, long pants, sleeved shirts
• No: sandals, shorts, or tank tops
